Hi! I'm Shimi and I’m guessing you want to arm balance? Well you're at the right place!
Let me tell you something about myself. You know that person who kicks up into handstand over and over again hoping to one day find balance? Well, fifteen years ago I was that person. But I had much more luck with frustration than I had with leaving the wall behind.
This feeling of defeat went on for way too long. All I wanted to do was to feel the freedom of moving upside-down on my hands. It was fury that eventually drove me to create the Controlled Strength™ method - a succinct and progressive training method tapping into the full potential of the human body - rapidly.
After years of research I incorporating select drills into my practice and started seeing rapid progress. The globally known coaches I was training under called out my progress saying they had seen nothing like it.
In 2011 I introduced this method to the Melbourne fitness scene and called it Controlled Strength™.
In the last 10 years we have supported students in 6 countries and 4 continents every step of the way to moving effortlessly upside-down with confidence.
Our students not only experience rapid progress in their arm balances, but also in the activities they enjoy outside of arm balances - first timers, beginners, Ashtanga practitioners, rock climbers, professional martial artists, Crossfit enthusiasts, personal trainers and yoga teachers - we continue to have students of all backgrounds train using our programs.
We exist to make arm balances accessible to everyone - regardless of body structure, strength, age or experience.
